About Dylan Rollo Roth

Dylan Rollo Roth is a Master of City Planning candidate at MIT whose research explores how storytelling and design can be used as participatory tools to challenge opaque systems within the built environment. With a background spanning architecture, landscape, preservation, and urban design, he brings a multidisciplinary lens to the social and spatial dynamics of urban systems. His current work focuses on surfacing human stories embedded within the petrocultures of the Gulf South, investigating how environmental, economic, and social forces intersect in sites of extraction. Grounded in participatory design and community engagement, Dylan’s practice aims to make planning more transparent, inclusive, and accountable.
