About Parul Anand

Parul Anand is an AI & Society Associate at Transitions Research, working at the intersection of artificial intelligence, governance, ethics, and social justice. Her research focuses on responsible AI, climate justice, participatory governance, digital public infrastructure, and Global South perspectives on AI policy. She also serves as Co-Lead (India) at ForHumanity, contributing to AI assurance and governance frameworks, and has previously worked with the Centre for AI & Digital Policy, nasscom ai, and Project EKΛ under the IndiaAI Mission. A trained yoga teacher and artist, Parul draws inspiration from nature, spirituality, and time spent with dogs. She believes these perspectives enrich her approach to building AI systems that are more just, humane, and grounded in care.
