Prarthana Arandhara

Prarthana is a researcher with key interests in political economy/ecology of social development, social-ecological transformations, and gender narratives. At Transitions Research, Prarthana works as a Research Associate focusing primarily in the Climate Adaptation Learning Lab (CALL) research initiative which is a part of the Adaptation Research Alliance (ARA) and also providing research support to the People’s Urban Living Lab (PULL). Previously, she was working at the Centre for Effective Governance of Indian States (CEGIS) in the Bodoland project, working for systemic changes towards better nutrition outcomes for vulnerable populations in the BTR, Assam.

In the past, she had worked in research projects at IIT Guwahati, National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRDPR), and Foundation for Ecological Security (FES) in the fields of rural development, natural resource management, and community conservation. She completed her graduation and post-graduation, both in economics, from Cotton University and Gauhati University, respectively. Prarthana is based out of Assam.
