
Lianne D’Souza
Lianne is an Associate Researcher contributing her expertise to the Future Foresight team. At Transitions Research she focuses on the intersection of digital technologies, artificial intelligence, and sustainability to shape forward-looking strategies. Her interdisciplinary approach focuses on bridging law, policy, and sustainability to tackle complex challenges in the field. A lawyer by training, Lianne’s research covers climate change law and energy transition, with substantial experience in legislative drafting and policy development for urban governance in Indian cities. Her past work includes projects on water law and governance, access and benefit sharing under biodiversity conservation, and waste management regulation. Lianne is also an Assistant Professor of Law at the National Law School of India University, Bengaluru, blending academic rigor and legal expertise with her research. She holds a master’s degree in environmental law from Stockholm University and a bachelor’s degree in law from Christ University.
