Nupur Khanter

Nupur Khanter is an urban strategist and designer, guided by a systems approach of mapping interrelated entities to draw new human centric connections. Her work focuses on equity in climate resilience and building stewardship in communities. Originally from Chennai, India, she worked as an architect on a range of projects where she developed an interest in urban design, focused on the intersection of economic, social and cultural realities and how they shape the cities we live in. She is interested in strategizing interdisciplinary solutions for the built environment, drawing from her background as a designer. Her experience includes teaching the embARC Summer Design Academy and reviewing undergraduate studio work at the CED, UC Berkeley. She holds a Master’s degree in Urban Design from the College of Environmental Design at UC Berkeley and a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Anna University.
