Karthikeyan Kuppu
Karthik is a Tech and Society Fellow at Transitions research working within the Mobility and Data Governance verticals of the Urban Living Lab. His interests lie in leveraging data to solve mobility issues and to answer data policy questions through AI and technology lenses. Karthik holds a Master of City Planning degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. Since 2017, he has worked in Mexico, India, and the United States with government bodies to implement mobility initiatives and policies.
Recent construction and urban expansion in Panaji have exacerbated the city’s risk to floods. On World Water Day, this commentary stresses on the importance of living within the ecosystem and promoting nature-based solutions in urban development.
