Evita is a public policy professional from Goa. At Transitions Research, her work as an Urban Governance Associate focus on cities and climate change. With a degree in Political Science and Economics from St. Stephen's College Delhi, she is deeply invested in the intersections of politics, socio-economics, and environmental sustainability, keen on enhancing governance systems to better serve communities. Her previous experience includes serving as a PRS LAMP Fellow, where she worked on a range of legislative and policy issues within the Indian Parliament. Subsequently, as a Swaniti Global Associate, she spent two years in Assam working closely with a Member of Parliament, local governments and civil society stakeholders. Here she worked on tackling constituency challenges including skill development, health, education, conservation and climate change, with a strong emphasis on improving participatory governance and bridging gaps between citizens and government.
