Teenu J Thaikattil

Teenu J Thaikattil is an architect and urban designer with over a decade of experience in urban development. She has joined Transitions Research as an Urban Planning Fellow, where she focuses on advancing inclusive and sustainable urban practices through the PULL programme. Before her role at Transitions Research, Teenu coordinated initiatives aimed at decarbonising the built environment and enhancing sustainable tourism infrastructure. She has also served as an assistant professor in both private and government architecture colleges across India, where she gained valuable experience in capacity building. Teenu holds a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from Anna University and a Master's in Urban Design from the College of Engineering, Trivandrum. She is an associate member of the Institute of Urban Designers India and is registered with the Council of Architecture, India. Her research interests centre around neighbourhood planning, low carbon development, and behavioural urbanism.
